(4:05:18) Limiter13: No one plays OCG
(4:05:24) Limiter13: how I suppost to test?
(4:06:12) Pharaoh_Atem: Since yesterday, I've got 47 downloads of the updated set file.
(4:06:26) Pharaoh_Atem: Perhaps they just come on at different times, or avoid IRC altogether.
(4:06:45) Pharaoh_Atem: Either way, I note the difficulty you have in finding OCG players. I'll come up with a remedy shortly.
(4:07:04) Limiter13: of the 47, maybe 37 go on IRC, and of those 37 how many are really worth playing?
(4:07:11) Limiter13: maybe 3
(4:07:23) Limiter13: all the OCG people I see in IRC are terrible
(4:07:41) Pharaoh_Atem: Aye, but the situation is identical with the TCG, just on a larger scale, hence why it seems you have better luck.
(4:07:48) Pharaoh_Atem: *better luck with the TCG.
(4:08:15) Limiter13: but I also really don't play IRC randoms that much
(4:08:35) Limiter13: if I want to do some quaility playing I hit up people on AIM
(4:09:15) Limiter13: ATM, I don't know of any quality OCG players I can just hit up on AIM for a game
(4:09:22) Pharaoh_Atem: Duly noted.
(4:09:54) Pharaoh_Atem: How about I go throughout the various sites, and make a compendium of the OCGers who use my product?
(4:10:05) Limiter13: Go for it
(4:10:25) Pharaoh_Atem: Although randoms'll be included, it may be better than just fishing blindly through IRC, huh?
(4:10:41) Limiter13: I'd imagine it would be basically the same
(4:11:04) Limiter13: but since I maybe do a game a week it won't rly matter that much
(4:12:01) Pharaoh_Atem: Except you cut out the TCG middlemen; it's a matter of saying "there's this amount of people who use it, all generally available at times for a game", vs saying "there's 200 people in #yvd and not a single one runs OCG - how disappointing".
(4:12:39) Pharaoh_Atem: There's no way to remedy the whole problem, but there's a way to alleviate symptoms.

Ok, I'd appreciate it if this thread were able to be used as an IM Bank of sorts, to have and hold a contact network between OCG Setusers. Word has reached me that it is harder to find an OCGer these days; this is my attempt to remedy that.

So, as Official XeroCreative and DuelistGroundz OCG Setmaker, I say this: Drop off contact info. Discuss the OCG. Those are the purposes of this thread. Don't go too far off topic, please.

I'll periodically swing by and update the first post with the contact info.

~Atem

I encourage players who don't have an IM System to get one: Trillian by Cerulean Studios can cover AIM, MSN, ICQ, IRC, and Yahoo! all at the same time.

I personally don't prefer it for IRC, but I prefer it for the IM programs.

Although I'm on campus and probably have no time to play, you're welcome to bug me every once in a while for a game. Bug me too often and I'll be rid of you; I'm no fan of getting a request from everyone every day.

Good to see that the lack of OCG players is going to be sorted out. There are so few.

I would love to play OCG if I could get the sets to work on my computer, if any is able to help me get them to work on my computer I would be very happy. As it would also put the OCG player count up by 2 possibly, Cloud-Strife uses the same computer as me.

Note: I have windows Vista.

As long as we have you OCGer's together, any tips you'd like to make on how XC Can better cater to the OCG Community?

It'd be nice if XCTs were held that included OCG. I know of no TDs able or willing to do such, and I don't have the time because of college.

I'm also not well versed in how well the #rulings staff knows OCG cards.

I'd be willing to help in both cases.

A link to the OCG sets on the YVD download page may be of some use, as well. It's not exactly rare to see someone asking for the link.

I'm quite fluent in both OCG and TCG rulings so I could help there and it'd help if more people knew that there were OCG sets readily available. Maybe put a link to it on Scrollrack.

I'll be the judge of fluency.

I'll make sure to bug Jace about putting a link to the OCG depot on his site.

Pharaoh, I can try to do an OCG tournament, with conditions. If you wish to speak of them, you know where to find me.

(Btw, you will need to link me to all the OCG cards as well)

Since you haven't put anyone on your OCG duelists list yet, I guess I could start OCG dueling back up. (Your sets are always the first place I check for updates to the database.)

Main IRC username: AmonRa
AIM: SilenceDuelist1, although my XC contact info tells you that.
Hostability: Can Host
Availability: Completely at random, but I am almost always on at some point of the day.

I have no idea if I said this right but I can now play in YVD with Atem's OCG setfile. Problem is- no nickname for IRC entry and availability for duels.

IRC:GouFukami007
Messenger: none, yet.
Can't host...

Main IRC name is Wylde.
Hostability: Hamachi.
Availability: Normally on every day at various times, I'm only 17 so I still go to high school.
AIM: haoujudai

Question, is the Advanced list on the yvd page the global list?
If not, is there somewhere I can get the jap's advanced list?

http://www.pojo.biz/...ad.php?t=463879 should suffice. Also, note that the OCG has no "Advanced" or "Traditional". They only have 1 format, equivalent to our Advanced.

Thanks, is there anywhere to find translations, cause the ocg set cards on yvd, aren't either their name in the anime, or what their english name would be.
